CrossRoads is a partnership between two Lexington United
Methodist churches, Trinity and Randolph Street. I am the pastor at
Randolph Street UMC as well as the College Ministry Director.
Trinity is the larger of the two churches, and is the "base of
operation" for the College Ministry
CrossRoads begins each September and
provides contemporary worship, a free meal and opportunities for both spiritual growth and fun.
Sunday evening programs offer a chance to explore topics that
you choose. We plan retreats in the fall and spring to allow
times away when we can share and worship in beautiful outdoor
settings. We have Bible studies and video-based lessons which
generate faith-sharing and in depth discussions. We enjoy
bonfires, movie nights, game nights, and events like our Super
Bowl party.
For students who participate, we provide a "home away from home"
through our Adopt-A-Student program. Students often form lasting
relationships with their host families, and parents can have peace
of mind knowing a caring church family is available nearby if
needed. Trinity also maintains a "College Room", which contains a
big screen TV, drinks, snacks and comfortable seating.
